Hello, my name is Jacob Blackburn, and I have the privilege of serving as pastor of Victory Chapel Community Church. My wife, Jennifer, and I are blessed with two wonderful children, our daughter Ivy and our son Bo. We are originally from Kokomo, Indiana, and moved to Noblesville to be closer to my work as a hairstylist, a profession I have loved since 2011. You might wonder how a hairstylist became a pastor; my story is simply a testimony of how God works in amazing ways. Over the years, faithful men invested in me, teaching me God’s Word, discipling me, and stirring in me a deep love for the Lord. In December 2021, when our family began attending Victory Chapel, I sensed that God was calling me into ministry. At first, I didn’t know what that would look like. When our former pastor announced his retirement and gave the church two years to find a new pastor, God began to move in my heart. He led me to begin preaching, and eventually to submit my resume. Though the process was daunting, when God moves and we respond in obedience, amazing things happen. God confirmed His call not just in my heart, but in the heart of my wife and in the hearts of the Victory Chapel family. I am humbled and excited to serve as pastor, to grow closer to the Lord alongside my church family, and to see how He works in our community. I truly believe God delights in using the most unlikely people for His glory, and I am living proof. My encouragement to you is this: seek the Lord, love Him with all that you are, and remember that you are deeply loved by Him. God will use you, just as He has used me, if you will simply make yourself available to Him.
